The first photo I got back from Katsucon this weekend!

This is my Camellia Gumi cosplay. I didn't cosplay as a part of Koi this year so I was a little lonesome but it turned out so well :)

Alas, I did NOT make the petticoat. I knew that I would get myself into more than I could handle so I paid the price and had one made for me. It\'s very full and fluffy, AND I LOVE IT.

The dress was made by me. I first made a mock up with the top and skirt separate. Once I got the petticoat, I made a simple circle skirt and with a few math calculations later I had a skirt full and long enough to cover my huge petticoat!

Other than the dress everything I purchased (wig, shoes, gloves and socks) I also bought the fedora but the embellishments are my own :) those flowers were actually tie backs (for curtains) from the fabric store I work at. I just ripped the plastic claw off the back and trimmed some of the petals off a few so that I had varying sizes :D

Thank you so much! Oh, and not to be incredibly nosey but, who did you get to make your cosplay? (Well, the peticoat that is, haha!) And price range? I"m really digging this cosplay and would rather commission someone than lose my chances with a sketchy website. ._.

Sure! I got my petticoat from here: [link] and mine was $100 total but that was because I paid extra for rush shipping since I was running out of time XD and I also picked a lot of fluff to go into mine which also added to the cost.

Wow. I love the poofyness. XD If you don't mind me asking how did you make the pattern for the top? I'm currently in the process of making Camellia Gumi myself. ^_^

Oh sure no problem! I used Butterick pattern 5607 for my top and then I drew out a circle skirt to match my petticoat and just extend the seam lines to account for a fuller skirt. Its a bit hard to explain but I could go into detail if you've got a super full petticoat like mine :D
